Pat Trotter

Pat Trotter is an accomplished American photographer/writer based in New Jersey who specializes in photography that portrays a sense of place and the people who inhabit it. The daughter of an Air Force officer, a keen sense of adventure is in her DNA and has led her to photograph wildlife in Africa and the people and environs of Cuba. Her writing and photography has been published widely, including in Kentucky Monthly, Horse and Horseman, The Thoroughbred Times, Cincinnati Magazine, Classic Horse and Sport Magazine, The Lane Report, Endurance Magazine, Cuba Seen, The Sandpaper and Asbury Park Press. Her work has been exhibited at the Photo Place Gallery, Middletown, Vermont, the Auburn Gallery, Los Angeles, California, Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences, Loveladies, New Jersey, Praxis Gallery, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Shutter Hub, London, UK.  She has spent the last four years traveling in the Scottish Highlands and Islands to photograph the territory that belonged to the medieval Lords of the Isles. The result of these photographic expeditions will be her book, In the Footsteps of the Lords, due to be published in April 2027.  Her next adventure will be to photograph the the wild horses in Corolla, North Carolina in March and the White Horses of the Camargue in France in April 2026.
