The process of reviewing photos and selecting those that will make it into the book has begun in earnest. It is my second day of serious scrutiny of the photos from the past three years and I must admit the task is daunting.  My inspiration comes, as always, from the medieval Lords of the Isles whose footsteps I have been tracing.  Little did I know when I first began this project how deeply I would fall in love with Scotland and how overwhelming it’s natural beauty would be. So, to start the reporting of the photo selection I am offering photos that I hope will give you a sense of the colors of Scotland. Something about Scotland lures you in and the colors embody the heritage of this country.  Below you will find natural colors from Lewis and Iona to start us off.
