This was the first look at the White Horses of the Camargue, one of the most iconic symbols of southern France. They’re famous for their pale coats, powerful build, and dramatic sight of galloping through the shallow marshes of the Rhône delta. Our group of photographers would spend several sessions photographing them and their Gardians, truly a magical experience. They are considered one of the oldest horse breeds in Eurpoe, adapted over centuries to the wetlands, salt flats and lagoons of the Camargue region. Here two stallions enjoy an evening roll in the dirt.
